• Availability of the vessel or equipment at the agreed time
• Necessary permits, approvals and authorisations

Safety is an important part of our operations. Cochin Marine Engineers may require appropriate safety procedures, permits, risk assessments and access arrangements before commencing work.

Clients and their representatives are expected to cooperate with applicable safety and site requirements.

Unless specifically agreed in writing, Cochin Marine Engineers does not guarantee that work will automatically result in approval or certification by a classification society, flag state, port authority or other third party.

We will make reasonable efforts to complete work within agreed schedules. However, project schedules may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

• Availability of materials or equipment
• Unexpected technical conditions
• Changes in project scope
• Delays caused by third parties

If additional defects, technical requirements or unforeseen conditions are identified during a project, additional work may be required.

Where reasonably possible, material changes will be discussed with the client before proceeding. Such changes may affect project costs, materials, manpower and completion schedules.

Fees, payment terms and payment schedules for services will normally be specified in the relevant quotation, purchase order, contract or invoice.

• Invoices must be paid according to agreed payment terms.
• Applicable taxes and statutory charges may be added where required.
• Additional services or materials outside the agreed scope may be charged separately.
• Late payments may affect the continuation or completion of services.

Where materials, spare parts or equipment are supplied as part of the agreed work, relevant specifications and terms will be determined by the applicable quotation or contract.

Where the client supplies materials or equipment, the client is responsible for ensuring that such items are suitable for their intended purpose unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any warranty relating to services, materials or equipment will be governed by the specific terms agreed in the relevant quotation, contract or project documentation.
